How Offline Mode works
The One Big Green mobile app includes Offline Mode so you can continue working when your internet connection is weak or unavailable. The app downloads the data you need in advance and saves the actions you complete while offline.
Each time you open the app while connected to the internet, it automatically downloads the data you need for your next two working days. This includes your schedule, Service Sites, Displays, pending replacements, issues, and assignments.
As new days are added, past records are automatically cleared to keep offline storage light and focused on upcoming work.
Before entering an area with poor reception
Open the app while you still have a working internet connection. This allows the app to download the data needed for your next two working days.
Open the Offline Data section to check which dates have been downloaded.
Make sure the dates you need are available before entering a basement or another low-signal area.
Continue working offline
If the app detects a weak or lost internet connection, it automatically switches to Offline Mode and notifies you. You can continue logging your usual activity, including:
Starting and finishing your shifts.
Completing service jobs.
Updating Service Site and Display information.
Submitting replacement requests.
Working with available issues and assignments.
Actions completed offline are saved locally on your device as Saved Actions. They will synchronize automatically when your device is back online.
Practical tips
Open the app while connected to the internet before you start your working day, so the latest data can be downloaded.
Check Offline Data before entering a low-signal area to confirm that the dates you need have been backed up.
If your connection keeps switching between online and offline, consider switching off mobile data and using full Offline Mode until you return to an area with a stable connection.
Remember that offline access depends on the data already downloaded to the device. New information cannot be downloaded while the device has no connection.
